I have a skype phone now, it's a dual phone and does landline and skype. Which is just peachy. But I am not sure what will happen if I am logged in on the
computer and someone calls me. Will both the phone and the computer ring?

You know I could swear Mosken posted about Skype a few times. Maybe she could help you?

I've not tested it. Someone needs to call me when I am sitting at my desk with my phone there too :)

I have a friend in Belgium that has 2 sons, one in England and the other in Turkey, they use skype to keep in touch. She and I use skype at least once a week.
Most of the time, the reception is as clear as if we were on the telephone. Sometimes, we have to do the manual type thing, but not very often. I know skype
has pay services but for what we do, there haven't been any charges. I hope this helps.

It's free? I thought it was a pay service. That's cool. I know you can talk on Yahoo....but it was like a walkie talkie last time I used it and I did
not like it. Is Skype like a regular phone, where you can here both sides at once?

skype is free. You have an ID like yahoo or MSN, but you speak directly just like you're on the phone. When it's running on your computer you can have
a headset with a microphone and look like a telesales girl.
If you want to call a land line phone number from a skype ID, then you pay, but it's pretty cheap. You can also get yourself a phone number so that people can call you from ordinary phones, since they can't dial your skype ID. You pay to have a phone number - but you could choose any country number you like. So if you did business in the US but lived in Germany, having a US skype number would mean local calls for those who called you. You could have several different numbers. You can have voice mail for when you're not there (or asleep!). If you only have it on your computer, then it's only online when you run the program - just like yahoo. But having the phone is very useful, since I can be online all the time. Although I have it on invisible. You can also take yourself offline easily. All I needed for the phone was to plug the box into my router and my phone jack, and then the handsets could be anywhere there was a power point. I put my skype ID in to log in as myself, and I can also use the phones as per normal.
