It's 8 days since any one talked here so why we all so quiet? Who has snow yet?

Nope. Waiting eagerly for snow. Wading through puddles while I wait.
I'm a notorious replier rather than a post starter (reactive instead of proactive, LOL).

lots and lots of rain. it has rained nonstop for a few days now. and to think, just a month ago I was wishing it would be winter already.
we are getting closer to snow, though. tonight it is suppose to drop to 37 degrees and it will rain through the night. just a few more degrees! |

I'm holding out hope for snow this winter. I don't have an iota of meteorological evidence to back it up, but going by law of coincidences summer had
freak weather and it's so unusual that we get snow in winter, therefore to fit in with the pattern it has to snow this winter!
Of course, it will just rain, rain and rain some more in reality.

I hope you get your snow, Chris. But you know the saying.... careful what you wish for. If you don't get any snow, you know that you're always more
than welcome to come over and enjoy it here.
We've had snow on the ground for about two weeks now. The snow came almost a month late this year and we haven't really had all that much, but since it's been below freezing day and night, the little snow that we have stays on the ground. It's very important to get snow this time of year because we need the snowcover for insulation of the perennials. |

Well, we had very very unexpected snow last night. For two hours we had a dusting of snow. Then it thawed for about an hour, and then it all froze up hard. Now it's slippery as all heck out there. It's supposed to thaw during the day. We'll see.

Yep. It's gone. 't Was interesting walking to school with the kids this morning. Very slippery. Thankfully we could walk in the grass most of the way.
The road was just one massive sheet of ice.

I can't decide Cedar whether you were happy to see the snow or not, must have been too little snow which I remember was or could be very annoying.
Want to hear something funny, I cannot ever walk on the grass down here in winter, if I do I end up with chilblains. Tell that Alison one wise crack from her and Santa's not falling down her chimney this year 'cause I'll tell him she's been naughty!

Hahaha Alison!!!
For the record, I *love* snow. We had snow for desert. I put a cookie tray outside when the rain turned to snow, and we all had snow after dinner. Unfortunately the snow in the evening was still too slushy to play in it or too little to make anything from it. And the next day it'd all turned to ice so snowball fights were out of the question. But we did pick iced snow off the bushes and ate it on our way to school!
