We've been very quiet over here as you can see, but in actual fact we've been beavering about behind the scenes with some major updates to the website.

We have a total redesign and overhaul on the way. Currently we use a CMS called e107, but we've set up several import scripts to move our data to a joomla CMS. I say we - but this is 99% Chris's time and effort. As our e107 set up was extremely customised, he had to create modules to work the same way in joomla, and...

So I mentioned in another thread a few weeks back that I was downloading a whole tv series on bittorrent... well I finally finished it after 3 weeks of slow constant download and bursts of really fast connections. I have a download limit of 8GB a month, so I made sure I started at the end of the month so the limit was spread out between two months and I'd get away with it. Well I got this email on Friday, just a friendly note off my ISP

Would it be more energy efficient to keep it on all day (considering we are in all day) at a low temp, or to have it at a higher temp and set to come on in the morning and afternoon? We don't have room thermostats, but do have 1 - 5 adjustments on each radiator.

I am experimenting with the temperture to try and achieve and environment that is comfortable if you're wearing long sleeves or a light jumper. And that you'd probably need to wear socks or slippers in. My hubby...

I have a skype phone now, it's a dual phone and does landline and skype. Which is just peachy. But I am not sure what will happen if I am logged in on the computer and someone calls me. Will both the phone and the computer ring?

So today was a fun day. I rolled out of bed at 8am, missing a full one hour of my lie in, poured my cappucino into a handy travelling cup replete with lid, cleared out George*, programmed Kenº and met up with a haggard band of mums at C---- H----- station. Ready for the Fairways shopping extravaganza.

Are not in here yet... but they will be soon!

I finally found a way to get the photos off my phone and onto my mac. It is so flipping easy in the end it's absurd. The problem I had was that when I browsed the phone via bluetooth, it saw the folders, but nothing in them. Using the right googlisms, I found someone describing the same problem, and the advice was to select the images from the phone's end, and select send via bluetooth.

Now they are all happily...

We had quiz and curry night at the school last night, and I think I might have had one plastic cup of chardonnay too many.

I am not sure how I am going to cope with leaping about at body attack this morning, and the bit about sweating pure alcohol is sure going to gross the others out!

If my children don't turn off that fishing duck game that is quacking to the tune of jingle bells, there is going to be a homicide. Or two.

I TOTALLY HATE SHOPS THAT HAVE CHRISTMAS DECORATIONS AND CHRISTMAS SALES UP ALREADY.

But I have to admit... I've just bought a christmas magazine, and have dragged out 3 old copies of the sainsbury's mag - of december from different years. I also know what I want for christmas, and have started looking for stuff for the girls.
